That data makes it look like the effect of about 80k lbs of explosives in the base of each tower. Exploding an hour after the crash, giving time for most of the tenents to escape, but destroying the symbol of American capitalist markets, it caused much more enduring influence on American politics than just the plane crashes. What's odd is there was neglect or refusal to do metalurgical analysis on the towers. Hard to believe there wouldn't have been exhaustive and public analysis.
