If they screw up they should pay.. nurses are over worked.. I had my son dismissed from a hospital early as no nurses to cover the ward.. They wanted to avoid a suit if any problems.. My prior doctor left the field to work for an insurance company to see if he could make a difference... He was expected to see forty patients a day.. No way this guy would work on a time table with patients.. He gave them what time was needed...

I do not understand how these awards are arrived... How do they come with millions and millions of dollars in damages to a person. Shouldn't there be a cap of some sort... some number within reason that more than provides for pain , and suffering and gets the attention of the hospital or medical profession without wiping out the system?
