As far as I understand when Fannie/Freddie sell MBS they guarantee them, so they carry the risk if somebody defaults on a loan. How does it work Jumbo loans? If BOfA originated jumbo loan, kept it on its books and sold CMO, who carries the risk? Does BofA guarantee the CMO?
