Trey, the article said the Shanghai fab (a joint venture w/ Shanghai Hua Hong Microelectronics, owned 28.6% by NEC) when it begins running in early 1999 would start out at .5 and then move to .35. I think the numbers it cited were for NEC's current operations, but you're right, it made no reference to the line geometry.

I think "The Economist" has a site, but I was leafing through some old print editions and came across it (small piece, maybe 5-6 paragraphs).
