The very fact that he turned back proves that the war in Iraq wasn't about oil back in Desert Storm. It also proves America had no desire of remaking the Middle East in its own image.

I was merely answering this comedian that his support of containment is predicated on a non liberal being able to stay in office while the very reason Saddam is still in his is that a conservative president let him .

PS: by the way, you ought to make up your mind as to what the real cause and purpose is...weapons, humanitarian, remake the middle east, other...you have used them all in your arguments.
