JF:

Well one can certainly find bias wherever one looks. I became convinced of CBS' leftward slant during Mr Clinton's impeachment process when I saw Dan Rather refer to Ken Starr more than once as "the Republican prosecutor." And when Henry Cisneros was finally convicted, the coverage was one of those "look at Dan while a small photo of Henry is shown over his shoulder." That piece lasted fewer than ten seconds; CBS then went on to some migrating-butterfly story that lasted for well over two minutes.

Of the major newspapers in metropolitan areas, they almost always endorse the Democratic candidate on their editorial pages.

Yes, the study is dated. The self-proclaimed left-leaning reporters of the 60s and 70s are the editors of today. To quote Mr Gore, "A zebra does not change its spots."

You seriously expect an objective study to be published by [MediaResearch]?

Can you find a study that refutes their findings? I couldn't. If you dismiss the source that has documented evidence of bias as biased itself, you've demonstrated that your mind is already made up and you are not interested in learning that you might be mistaken.

Have a happy New Year.
