Note oil supply not for managing prices.. This is why the U.S. independent oil companies were denied oil from Strategic Petroleum Reserve this week... These companies are almost totally dependent on Venz. crude. They can buy all the crude they need on the open market..(new york harbor price)
Perhaps , some of these companies will find alternative sources rather than one source for their supply. I expect they have set up agreements with international oil companies to buy from them or later pay them back in crude at some differential in price.. This is not unusual practice in industry.
