Kerry PAC money - new 2002 change will accept from certain sources up to $10,000 only as per campaign finance reform laws. I think that ended in November.

"But Edwards isn't the only potential White House contender using a leadership PAC to his advantage. Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.)-who, like Edwards, resisted PAC contributions for years-recently founded his own PAC, the Citizen Soldier Fund. Since January, the PAC has raised more than $250,000".

My apologies for any inaccuracy. As you can see though, limiting to $10,000 makes certain no one can buy policy from him. It's relatively small change. Compare to some of the $500,000 chunks of soft money Bush-Cheney have taken by the truckload from corporations, which do and have in fact buy policy.

I am going to clear this up with the campaign as finance laws have changed since November. After all I am going to be raising money for Kerry so I'd better know. Isn't PAC money illegal after Nov? $2000 limit now I think unless it's the candidate's own money. That's where Kerry will have a serious advantage, even over Bush, if he wants to use his own funds. One of the reasons Kerry is going to win.
