The Old Testament is a series of contradictions written by mystics to control a bunch of sheep and goat herders.

One of my favorite chapters is Leviticus in which "God" goes on and on about how to treat unclean lepers, but never bothers, in his omnipotence, to tell them how to cure it, just continue to suffer. I also note the long passages on who can be a slave, how to beat slaves and which slaves are okay to kill.

That you think Greek philosophy was a dead end means you must not be aware of how much Aristotle shaped Western Civilization, especially during the "Great Awakening" and the Renaissance when rational thought began to pull Man up from the mire of the biblical claptrap that kept them oppressed during the "Dark Ages." Why do you think they were called the dark ages? For the same reason that the Israeli-Palestine conflict is a mini-dark age.

Reason and Aristotle still rule today where there is real freedom and men and women who reject the theological dead ends and circular logic you and your actual brothers, the Palestinians, embrace.

Bottom line: Both sides are irrational mystics that would be better off being moved en toto to the Antarctic and left to fend for themselves.

In the centuries to come, both the Palestinian and Israeli histories will be used as guideposts on how NOT to treat fellow humans. (Some less kind individuals then will also make jokes about Palestine and Israel. Too bad I don't have a time machine so I could hear some of them now. I bet they will be hilarious.)
