Zoro, when you put a blank CD in the CD-R bay the software should open automatically.

As a short-cut I usually copy the "DCIM" folder from the storage card to the desktop
so that I am sure I have a back-up copy. I keep the unaltered (original) images in a folder
on the desktop. When I have several events photographed I cut a CD of the raw images plus any
buffed up images that I have altered and placed in a separate file.

Roxio makes most of the CD software for PC and the program is call CD Creator or something like that.
It may be useful to put a shortcut on your desktop.
