Hi Bill. I spent the weekend talking one-on-one with managers in telecom equipment in Shanghai. Shanghai is emerging faster than most people expected as the dominant business capital of ASIA. I decided not to ask anybody here in Shanghai when they expect to catch up economically with Jamaica -- I did not want to make an a$$ of myself. Surrounded by a city with 200 square miles of elegant new sky scrapers and condominiums connected by a modern subway system, it just seemed a bit silly to pass on your inane remarks, even as a joke. I leave for Beijing in the morning for a meeting with government officials in export certification. Later in the week I will attend an investment conference in Beijing with private high-tech companies spinning off from the many research institutes in China. I met with software companies in Beijing last week before going to Guangzhou. I have never seen anything original from you Bill -- nothing -- not even your extraordinary hyping of worthless Internet stocks. You passed on worthless hype from people who now face prosecution for their absurd statements about stocks like AMZN. When you talk about foreign affairs you like to thump you chest and say "this is America, we are never wrong about anything and the Bush Administration is superbly managed". You are a follower Bill.
