I was watching Bill O'Reilly a while back and he was interviewing a lawyer that was defending an obviously very despicable human being in a criminal case. O'Reilly questioned this man as whether his actions to exonerate someone he knew was guilty would bother him. I have forgotten this lawyers name, but he quite honestly replied that if that bothered him then he would be in the wrong business. Whenever people without conscience assume positions of power it does not bode well for society. I have a very simplistic and coarse definition of those I like and respect. For me, the determining factor is whether people are assholes or they are not and it seems the easiest means of distinguishing people. * * *
