Here is a noteworthy statistic via a Julius Baer analyst.
During the 13 year Nikkei bear market, the market has been going up 40% of the time and in which there were several 4month rallies that had an average gain of 28%; BUT, nonetheless, the Nikkei 13 years later is down at this moment over 80% from its' high.
Now that, i think, is major message about what constitutes a secular bear market.
And also, during those 13 years there were analyst calling the bottom over and over again. They have, in the LONGTERM view been wrong continuously for 13 years. Max
