Hanoi Jane" There's another typical right-wing piece of BS. first of all, who cares about an actress 40 years ago? as if she represents any of us now. She was a 60's radical. Yes, the Vietnam War turned into a bloody mistake, and even Nixon ran on ending it after he realized it was hopeless and costly to stay there. But extreme right-wingers use old buzzwords like Hanoi Jane to attempt to in some way tar anyone who questions the "military genius" of GW Bush. frankly, I'm to the right of Bush on some counter-terrorism issues. But first and foremost we need to be SMART and not politically-minded and reckless when we start thinking about going to, and starting wars. I dont see the honesty, intelligence and necessary concern amongst the chickenhawks of the neo-conservative right. They are reactionaries with their own agenda. I might even call them radicals. But Hanoi Jane. Meaning Jane Fonda, a former movie star who once visited North Vietnam, has no meaning to me whatsoever. That was then and thsi is now. Apples and oranges.
