U.S. to erect anti-Dong defense

The Pentagon plans to erect an anti-missile defense shield by the year 2005 to protect the U.S. from hostile powers. "This is not an abstract, theoretical threat," said chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Hugh Shelton. "We've downsized so much that we're positively flacid. We've got to get pumped up again. Get hard. Get ready. Get on it."

Melvin Hobbs of the Institute for Theoretical Strategy in Mel's Pool Hall in Roanoke Virginia said "Well, yea, no shit. You know, we've pissed off every terrorist in the world lately. It's just a matter of time until someone blows us up."

The White House warned of the danger posed by the North Korean super-rocket Luang Dong 12.5 "The Luang Dong can stay up for 2.75 hours," said Shelton, "long enough to take care of anybody. If one of those Luang Dongs gets over here, we'll all be screwed."

Jack Daniels of the Union of Concerned Scientists said "We'll never be able to stop one of those big things and they never go off prematurely. We might as well just lay down and take it now."
