The Chromatic chip sounds so cheap to do so much so I looked up the Mpact Blazer Max add in card....."Chromatic itself has manufactured 50,000 MPact Blazer Max add-in cards for sale through a number of domestic and overseas distributors".(Microprocessor Report May 12 97....... s.topchoice.com Take a look at the card and all the chips it takes to support all those functions. $499 buys the MPact Blazer MaxPack, plus $289 for the DVD drive and you get $788 for PC DVD? Maybe they give Gateway a better deal, but how come it's so expensive?
