To compare CDMA2000 1x and W-CDMA, one must consider both voice and data capabilities. My understanding is that "cdma2000 1x EV-DO" is data only .. hence the "DO".

The author writes as if cdma2000 1x EV-DO includes voice .. or implies voice also. Has the definition changed .. or is the author just taking "poetic license"?
