folks said that 10 or 20 or 30 years ago... didn't make much of a killing... No more growth than the average stocks nothing exciting.. I had been invested in international oil stocks for forty years... good dividend reasonable growth.. No big killing.... Why, we keep finding large deposits of oil,, better technology to drill deeper .wells are better managed and more productive..
Remember T.Boon Pickens thirty years ago... Natural gas was going to go to the moon.. It will be a killing.. Demand will exceed supply.. He started buying up all the natural gas fields and went broke.

I doubt there will be much to say different in twenty more years.. As some have said it oil gets expensive then we will all go to alternative energy. the difference will no longer have the consumer not willing to pay maybe even a little extra for energy and save environment.. to justify break even..
