Appreciate this thread. There was interesting article in Bonus Issue of Worth "Investing in Technology" that covered the IDEC saga very well. I don't own IDEC but do hold some Xoma which licensed some patents to Genentec/IDEC which were important for this new drug. Trading in Xoma was no halted today and probably will not be on day drug goes before FDA for final decision. Xoma gets royalities (amount unknown). Just something to keep in mind as an additional way to potentially play developments. Disparities in price moves of the two stocks may present opportunities to remain committed to the potential of the "drug" while moving from one co to the other.
