After looking at many cameras we decided to go with a Sony (I think it is the TRV27?) camcorder with the 3.5" screen. It's not as small as the Canons, but I have been seeing many reviews and comments about the Canon motor noise recording loudly over the video. Since single stills are not the priority for this camera, this will be the one(Sony)...Now to search for a digital still camera!! :-)
