The disgrace was meddling in affairs that were not ours, justifying the meddling with an 80 year history of meddling, destroying lives and the environment, at the cost of 56 billion dollars, vicariously thrilling to the carnage wreaked by the latest and greatest toys of war, while denying that we were doing it purely out of self interest, and for the chance to say "we're Americans, and we kick ass"
