Anyway, it's not an American Empire, it's a Mqurice Empire - I've just hired the Americans to do the dirty work for me. Just as I switched allegiance from the British Empire when they continued to go wrong, I'll switch from the American Empire when it goes off the rails.

This is probably the wisest way of looking at it…



Maurice, I see that you noticed that lucid deterministic STRATFOR gem. I was surprised that no one made any comments. Clearly, they are on to something in this article, those guys. They seem to think that an empire will evolve… inevitably, and – not because of a lust for power, but because of an internal logic of merely trying to achieve security… and survive.

I have been wondering over the years about all those empires in the sci-fi movies, like ‘Star Wars’ and many others…or, the Federation in the ‘Star Treck’ – could it be that the artistic intuition of their makers was telling them something?… -g/ng.
