We have alkaline soil here in the west. The pink doesn't need any work.

under the weeping willow there is a 'white' spot where i have all <around 7> white ones bunched up.

Used to have 3 absolutely luscious red, they turned pink over the years and i didn't have the energy to try to get them to change color !

The mauve/light purple bunch are in the front yard. I try to add acid fertilizers to make them purple or blue...but it barely changes anything coz i feed them sporadically...they need soil amendment once a week to retain the color change over a season. I LOVE electric blue hydrangeas...used to grow them in containers, but its too much work when you have around 200 babies <roses+hydrangeas+kids+dog> to care for.

I love hydrangeas. I guess i must have around 20-25 of them. And they'll eventually get 5-7' tall - a Hydrangea jungle !

I got the jasmine bug 18 months ago. Planted around 25 of them around the house. This year my goal is to thread clematis thru every shrub or vine. Roses, hydrangeas - everything laced with different shades of beautiful clematis. Planted them a few months back....am now waiting for spring.
