CAMARILLO, Calif., Dec 19 (Reuters) - California Amplifier Inc. (NasdaqNM:CAMP - News), a provider of microwave technology used in satellite television and wireless high-speed Internet, on Thursday posted lower quarterly net income, but said new products should boost results in the current quarter.
The Camarillo, California-based company reported net income in its fiscal third quarter, ended Nov. 30, of $905,000, or 6 cents a diluted share, compared with $1.35 million, or 10 cents a diluted share in the year-ago quarter. In its second quarter this year, it earned $1.82 million, or 12 cents a diluted share.
Revenue slipped to $24 million from $27.5 million last year due to delays in the roll-out of new products and the effects of the dockworker lockouts at West Coast ports..
California Amplifier said the new products should help it boost fourth-quarter earnings to a range of 7 to 11 cents a diluted share on sales of $26 million to $30 million. |
