That's a superficial statement. Affirmative action and the goals often termed as quotas are just milestones on the journey to equality. If they were intended to be permanant actions I would agree that they were discriminatory but they are intended as just corrective actions, which by definition cannot be neutral. It is ludicrous to imply that past racism can be corrected without applying a corrective action. Race neutral position should come after effective parity has been reached. The sooner we finish this goal, which is inevitable, the quicker we can all just go on with our lives unconcerned about past injustice.
