Frank. Wayne made a good point in a post

a few weeks ago about it actually being more difficult for energy industry people to trade/invest in the sector.

It's all too easy to become overly pessimistic, over a period of years, when you work in an industry that suffers from such brutal boom/bust cycles.

Noticed that on every site thread back in the 1st 4 months of 1999 when I was one of the only bulls while the petroleum engineers, geologists and middle managers working for mid or lg cap OS and E&Ps were almost uniformly bearish.
