A military tribunal is a panel of officers.

Question: Did this military tribunal take place and decide on POW status of prisoners?
Answer: No.

So I don't know what you are arguing here, really.

Just because it was not made public does not mean it didn't happen.

I am sorry but such things are not state secrets. POW status is an important issue, on which THERE WAS NO SUCH TRIBUNAL.

There is no question about this. What are you trying to argue, that there was one such "competent tribunal" and they didn't even think to declare their decision?

By the way, I cannot believe I am talking to someone who seems to believe that the Geneva Convention would have allowed for the winning side to just decide the prisoners are not POWs, and not even announce the tribunal taking place, nor declare its decision. Amazing.
