A new year brings with it a host of opportunities, John Dagge writes.
If your new year goal is to change careers, now is the time to act.
January and February are peak recruiting times as employers finalize
their staff arrangements for the year. Figures from the Jonathan Wren
Job Trend Index show the number of advertised jobs increases by about
600 per cent during the first two months of the year. Karen Pond, chief
executive officer at recruitment firm Lee Hecht Harrison, said the start
of the new year was the perfect time to hold a ``career physical''.
