This AM when I was reading about the 600b stimulus plan, I realized at long last that it isn't our children who will pay for the massive debt coming their way, it's us, via the reduced buying power of our retirement nest egg. Already the dollars I saved twenty years ago in my 403b have been reduced by more than half. I expect them to be worth no more than 25 cents by the time I retire, maybe less.

So the political game is "Who cares about deficits? We'll just buy your vote with your own retirement money!"

Seems like an easy game to play on a TV nation.
