Smells of the Sixties...

Tomato-san

Yes, I always liked the smell of sandalwood and jasmine... although I have to say that I liked them best of all in soaps and candles, etc... and not really in incense. However, I don't know about the "cat thing"... guess I didn't know the same gang of people... In fact, I can't remember anyone even having a cat back then....perhaps the memory eludes me.... or perhaps they ate it one night....(-:

Regarding cigarettes... I have written a "tribute" to Drum tobacco earlier on the thread... but I quit smoking about 20 years ago... I don't really have a "nostalgic" regard for cigarette smoke... I get to smell it constantly while at work.... so I'm afraid that I have only very negative associations.... Cigarettes = Work = Blechhhhhh!!!

Regarding the Fondues... There was Henry, Jane, Peter, Bridget, Gloria, Ruth and Amy...right??? Actually, I think I've only had a "fondue" once... one of my Mom's "experiments" in cosmopolitan cooking... Actually, I don't think I was overly impressed with dipping chunks of almost-stale French bread into some kind of rather obnoxiously strong-smelling pre-packaged "fondue cheese"...
