"It is excessive and unjust"

Sure it is. Definitely. But the tax revenue has to come from somewhere. And I don't think that 70% of the population can pay another dime higher and still meet savings/prosperous life goals. AnNd if the top 10% is reduced the money shortfall will have to come from somewhere. Probably from the middle 20%, which could very well suck them down into the ever growing 70% group.

I don't like paying taxes, but if the bottom 70% is drowning, then I might not have to worry about paying taxes in the future, cause I (and a lot of you) will be joining them soon enough.

No spendable income = no business for the business owners = no income for no one = no jobs = less less and less.
