I think the current code is excessive but has a lot of good social engineering built in over the years to encourage wealth and savings for all classes. Rates could be reduced across the board if some flippant senseless wasteful government spending was reduced. I have no other suggestion.

Dividends should not be taxed twice. Never should have been.

Marriage penalty should never have existed to begin with.

$400 Child tax credit is good.

Accelerated capital expenditure expensing will be good for the economy.

Now if he would just stop verbally threatening the rest of the world on a daily basis the economy might improve. If he doesn't then none of the above will matter.
