Tom. Don't usually talk about options trading.

The vast majority of PM stocks we trade on this thread aren't optionable.

But for the mid-cap golds that have options? Writing a few calls is an alternative to selling part of the portfolio when they look like they're headed for a little more of a ST dip, than usual.

OTOH....because my ST timing was in the crapper, was almost 3 full days early selling the calls. Dang it!

But what the heck. We all screw up now and then. Did book a fairly nice gain, considering the option hold was under a week.
