This guy is taking famous artists work and combining them into a "copyrighted" picture-collages he will sell you for 400 bucks! Pretty good thinking but if he can do it- anyone can. His statement: Artist´s Statement It has been common in recent decades for prominent artists to `find´ material in the output of lesser known artists and designers. We see photographs showing works by unnamed designers, and collages of all forms of popular media. I´ve chosen to pursue the same pattern... but in reverse. I´m using the title `Found Art´ as a double entendre rather than a pun. I made these collages from art I found in the works of great painters. But also, I used a found art technique in their creation. I develop an experience-space using technology and existing images. Then I go exploring in that space. When I find something that moves me, I lithify it as a digital collage and polish it into a finished work. Copyright The text and images on this page are protected by international copyright conventions and all rights are reserved. The images I incorporated into my collages are from works that have passed into the public domain with time, and the reproductions I worked from are licensed. Copyright law is a good thing. The fact that it´s accepted by pretty much every nation on earth is one indication of this. stephen.com hmmmmm...... I'm gonna make me the next Mona Lisa! Think I'll call her "Moanin Lisa" for ah....50 bucks - anything else and the price goes thru the roof!
