People are gonna still be hurting in 2004. Kerry here we come. I was afraid Bush might rip off Kerry's ideas which actually WOULD stimulate the economy and put people back to work. Now Bush has gone the opposite direction, for the dividend voters and over a 10 year period. Since not that many companies even pay dividends so that's a very narrow cross-section. And many wont vote for him anyway, my parents for example, who get plenty of dividends but see in Houston poor health care, poor education, and gagging pollution. These "trivial" issues Bush doesn't care much about. He'd rather pay off the well-to-do that fix any of our problems and create jobs.
