No no no no! I paid good money for the clover seeds, and collected the dandelion seeds with care.

I have been trying to persuade the Husband to let me turn the yard into a cottage style garden, and am slowly wearing him down. The big selling point is "no mowing."

This (past) year (2002) I added a perennial bed with roses, irises and peonies, a bulb bed, an herb bed, and a shade bed. Also planted maybe ten native wild type rhododendrons and azaleas that may or may not have survived the drought.

The next projects are a slate walkway and a pergola with a slate patio.

I have a lot of new books about landscaping with roses, and hope to add more roses and more herbs in the year to come.
