Sorry. If it was going to happen anytime since the Whigs disappeared 150+ years ago, there are dozens of eras that would have been far more likely than today. The mega-change that's coming is the move of the Democrats away from the Marxist/Leninist anti-American left that has held them tightly by the balls since 1970. There is a huge vacuum for a loyal opposition to the Republicans, who will pretty-much hold all 3 branches until the Democrats have rebuilt themselves and, driven the oak stake through their Clintonesque image. That could take a decade or more. Their 1964 is ahead of them, in 2004. After that, watch for signs of a renaissance in the party that holds the record, having survived continuously for over 2 centuries...
