Language is, after all, nothing more than labels.

Well, it's a bit more than that. But labeling is certainly an important part of it.

I think that Jewel might draw a distinction between naming and labeling. When we call a thing a tree, that could be considered labeling. But I don't think that's the sense he was using it in.
