Ted, we can argue whether it is to the benefit of people of United States to Attack Iraq and remove Saddam from power. But there should be no question that Iraq will be a better place to live without Saddam if it won’t turn into anarchy. I don’t want to be dramatic, but comparing Saddam to horse shit, is insulting to horses and their shits

Mani,

I don't disagree that Saddam is bad but then there are a number of bad leaders in the world, many of whom are not making the news but continue to torment their people. I would like nothing better than to get rid of all of them; however, I don't believe that's possible for a lot of different reasons.

Therefore, I think the best we can do is make the world safe for Americans and hopefully, that will benefit others as well. I also believe the most serious threat to our well being, assuming the info we have been given is accurate, is al Qaeda, not Saddam.

As for the number of people Saddam has killed, I really thought the number was hundreds of thousands as opposed to a million or two. But does it really matter.....one death at his hands is one too many.

I only apologize for my seemingly cavalier attitude.....however, that's directed not at the dead done in by Saddam but rather at the laments of the posters. I wish I could believe they really care but I don't. Maybe I am too cynical. :~((
