re CEF...i once inquired about buying physical silver over a couple years ago...june 2000...the buy price was 5 per ounce, the sell price was 5.40...so with an 8 % spread and the cost of storing, etc...perhaps people are just willing to pay a premium to own the pretty much only choice of a closed end fund that holds such precious metals...
