I agree; he revises his targets all the time. But I thought the .48 equity PC close Monday night, coupled with an overbought market in an area where the Dow and S&P could put in right shoulders and the Nasdaq and NDX running into the December island gaps, was a good overall scenario for lightening up.

A surprise from AA this morning; they usually report early in the day (around 8 a.m.).

09:29 ET Alcoa misses by 4 cents (AA) 24.38: Reports Q4 (Dec) earnings of $0.21 per share (excluding various non-recurring after tax charges), $0.04 worse than the Multex consensus of $0.25; revenues fell 0.8% year/year to $5.06 bln vs the $5.29 bln consensus. Co also announces it will divest a range of businesses that generated about $1.3 bln in total revs in 2002, and will use proceeds from the sales primarily to reduce debt.
