hi John, regarding "Sun couldn't convince Pixar to use their machines for the animation, this was all done on SGI's that Pixar paid hard cash for." SGI setteled Pixar's suit claiming SGI violated their patent on the stocastic dithering algorithm by giving Pixar a large credit towards hardware that paid for most of the Octanes. not too much hard cash. also, i hope this triumph is enough to put all of SGI in a real party mode for Siggraph. vincent
