The point is Ken, they never *cut* spending. You know it, and I know it. The only ones who apparently don't are the "Liberal Big Industrial Media Complex".

Actually they do to. They just don't want to admit the fraud they've perpetuated on the American people. Better for them to demagogue anyone who suggests we slow down spending and scream "children are starving, the elderly are eating dog food": etc. etc.

Thankfully, the internet and radio are becoming more and more influential in moving public sentiment to the "right" direction.

Get used to it Ken. Before Bush's second term is over, this country will move decidedly toward "compassionate conservative" ideals. Bush is leading the nation and his party in the right direction. His success in giving Republicans a majority in both houses of congress for the first time in (I don't know how many decades), is a testament to his skill as a leader, and balanced perspective on the issues important to most Americans.

Contrast Bush's first two years against Clinton's. Clinton had a majority in both houses of congress and scared the heck out of the nation with his drive toward socialistic models of public policy prescriptions (HillaryCare).
