Oh yea, I agree with that. The second pedal is being pumped now because they pumped the first pedal so much in the late 90s they are now out of gas. :-)

Really, there was no pseudo economic reason to pump the second pedal under Clinton because the greatest rape and pillage of all time was producing lots of temporary tax revenue and "the appearance of prosperity". :-) What he should have done (and all the States also) (politically impossible perhaps) was to continue to attack spending growth knowing full well that there was a continuing structural deficit. He chose not to. He chose to accept Rosey and her projections to continue funding things. That in my mind is also irresponsible/an error.

I guess what I am saying is that Clinton sucked too. I don't want you to give him any credit for being partially OK. :-) Bush inherited Clinton's mess and he's making a bigger one. :-)
