Ms. Mary Pygiel reports

COREL, THE ART INSTITUTES PARTNER IN MAJOR DEPLOYMENT OF CREA
...

Corel's creative tools are to be integrated into the curriculum of one of the United States' largest educators of creative
professionals.

As part of a partnership estimated to be worth more than $350,000 (U.S.), the Art Institutes will adopt Corel creative tools
into the organization's curriculum and install Corel products in computer labs at its schools across North America. This
partnership gives Art Institutes students access to Corel tools including CorelDRAW 11, Painter 7 and KnockOut 2, and
involves more than 7,000 licences.

"The Art Institutes system of schools is completely focused on empowering our students to become top-flight creative
professionals. By giving them these tools from Corel, we're also giving them a creative edge," said David J. Pauldine,
president of the Art Institutes. "We want our graduates to be the best equipped and most talented in the industry. By
partnering with Corel we're advancing that goal."

"For Corel, this partnership is absolutely huge," said Steve Houck, executive vice-president of partner relations for Corel.
"Every year, the Art Institutes graduate more creative professionals than any other organization in North America. From now
on, each graduate will enter the creative industry equipped with a full array of skills honed on our tools. This partnership will
have a real impact in the years to come. We couldn't be happier."

Growing out of pre-existing co-marketing initiatives between Corel and the Art Institutes, this partnership will deliver Corel
tools on both Windows and Macintosh systems at 27 Art Institutes across North America.

Previous collaborations between Corel and the Art Institutes include such innovative projects as the procreate Digital Art
Class, seen this year at trade shows around the U.S., and the Digitalism Tour by procreate -- a seven-month tour of North
America by the world's first mobile art gallery and exhibition studio.

The Art Institutes system of 27 education institutions is located throughout North America, providing an important source of
design, media arts, fashion and culinary professionals. The parent company of the Art Institutes, Education Management
Corporation, is among the largest providers of private postsecondary education in North America, with 43 primary campus
locations in 26 major cities, and with approximately 44,000 students as of fall 2002. EDMC's education institutions offer
doctoral, master's, bachelor's, associate's and non-degree programs concentrated in the creative and visual arts, and the
behavioral sciences and education fields. EDMC has provided career-oriented academic programs for 40 years, and its
education institutions have more than 150,000 alumni.

This deployment of Corel products is part of the Corel educational art development program, Corel's commitment to
pushing the boundaries of creativity in education.
