Dear Mr Jlallen:
Regarding abysmal behaviors by troops.

This is what I thought in 1951 when the Korean War was on in which I had a role. UNTIL then and as a child, I thought that the WW II was all Hershey Bars and love when our troops got into France and Foreign Countries. I became a woman when I heard how SOME...now I say SOME of our troops raped, killed ( broke backs and threw women down wells )
cut off the beards of the elder Koreans... And then there was Mai Lai (ex.sp.) When I heard this I realized that in WAR brutality is taken for granted. It has no conscience. Man is de-humanized and fighting for self preservation. I found that nothing good comes from war but mans inhumanity to man. Therefore, forgetting politics and your being squeezed between clowns and ..by the way who is JL... I can believe that atrocities do happen and our guys are no better than the other team... This is reality as much as I dislike having to accept it. So as abysmal as it is, one cannot measure APPROPRIATE behaviors in war.
