Lee, I guess a long winded dissertation on the ramifications of monetary policy as it pertains to monetarizing the debt would be in order but I'm just finishing my third single malt (Ardbeg-a fine 17 year old scotch whiskey from the Isle of Islay) so I'll skip the boring parts and get right to the facts.

The weakness of the dollar is a result of actions that are taking place as part of a larger plan by those in charge to monetarize the debt, IMO. Simply put, the US economy is going to be inflated and hopefully done correctly (like anyone that is tracking the CRB, has bought or sold a home recently, pays for their own insurance, drugs, food, etc. doesn't already know inflation is occurring even though it's denied by all the government officials). If it's not done correctly then we will have stagflation.

In either case gold is a great place to be but the biggest profits will be made in the inflationary environment that I see occurring in the coming two years. I've got over 100% profit in the gold positions I currently own but feel that we are in the early stages of the move. I've taken full positions so I'm not adding any but will swing trade in gold whenever I get the opportunity. As soon as I saw the dollar futures selling off I jumped into several of the unhedged positions I like and felt should make a 5% to 10% move in the next few days. They made the 5% today so I'm hoping tomorrow will be more of the same.

One of the simplest and most effective strategies for making money is to be trading in a bull market. GOLD has been in a bull move for the past year and is giving no indication of changing. Playing the long side in a strong cyclical bull market and better yet a secular bull market doesn't take any brains. Just sticking with the bull stocks in the bull move is being smart and following that trend is a pretty simple way to make money.

Heck this turned out to be a dissertation after all . . time for another scotch and don't ever forget
