patron, I'm pretty close to retail, so I have a good idea who's doing what and who's going to be around in the future.

I'm still waiting for HD to announce they're closing 200-400 stores. I think that comes in 2-years. They're a huge house of cards. 1/4 of their net profit comes from free merchandise for new store openings. That's why they're so hot on growth. Wall Street has been catching on to their slowing growth, but not to this trick.

Lowes has the same issues, but not on that scale yet.

Walmart rules, but even they are doing tricks and games to drive same stores sales (and the stock price), like selling appliances, used cars, and even real estate. When they re-locate a store, it counts as a same store sale even though they double the size.
