Usefulness comes from making distinctions. A differs from B in ______________.

When you simply say A and B are synonymous, that doesn't advance your thinking at all.

When you say languge is synonymous with labeling, all you've done is use another term for the same thing. That doesn't add anything to the discussion.

If y ou say "this use of language is labeling, and this use is not," then you're saying something one can talk about and use. But if you just say every single use of language ever used in the history of the human race was just labeling, so what? I don't see that it gets us anywhere at all.
