Andrew,

I've been sick for a few days and am behind in my mail.

I try to be high-minded and all, but in reality I don't have great personal qualms about the American role in WWII.

Tonight, I'm watching a PBS documentary on the Russian side of WWII. They are showing footage of Nazi ghettos and concentration camps as they were mainly to the East. 120000 buried here, 100000 buried there. None of this is at all new to me. They show toddlers and infants being separated from their parents, taken off to "special camps" where they are subjected to medical experiments and/or murdered.

I end up in my 4-year old son's room to watch him sleep to regain my balance. And I think there but for the grace of God go I.
